A luncheon address by Michiel Lucieer
Lighthouses, Shipwrecks & Graves around the SA Coast
South Australia has a rich maritime history and is intrinsically connected to the lighthouses, shipwrecks and graves dotted around the coast of South Australia. The lighthouses guided ships, safeguarded maritime trade and prevented countless shipwrecks.
Our Speaker, Michiel Lucieer, is a former Lighthouse keeper with an extensive knowledge of our state’s seafaring past and will present an address to ROSL members and friends at our next luncheon. He is also the author of “A history of Althorpe Island South Australia” (The State Library of SA, the Mortlock and National Library). This will be a very informative address of interest to all!
